About Community Watch

Rushcliffe Community Watch (RCW) is a crime-fighting initiative, funded by the Rushcliffe Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership. From our office in West Bridgford Police Station, we send out targeted messages to our members to inform them of local crime problems, and to request help and information that may assist us. Membership, which is free, is open to the whole Rushcliffe community, and currently includes Neighbourhood Watch, councils, businesses, schools, licensed premises and housing associations, as well as members of the public.

How does it work?

  • We send out targeted messages to inform members of problems in their area.
For example, a message might be sent to a particular village advising that bogus callers have been seen in that village.
  • We ask for help from our members.
For example, we might ask them to help us obtain the registered number of a car that had been seen in the vicinity of house burglaries.

A leaflet explaining Rushcliffe Community Watch is available: you can either download it from this website (as a PDF file), pick up a copy from West Bridgford Police Station, or contact us to request that a copy be sent to you.
